Covid-19 pandemic has changed the world of businesses. It is not just another economic crisis or a great depression. The world is yet not immune to it, and if you wait the world to return to ‘normalcy’ there is a high possibility that you might not survive the business.
If you listen to business and technology pundits, you may have heard that the post Covid-19 world will be completely different from the pre Covid-19 world. Sound familiar? In the midst of a crisis, it’s tempting to label any major disruption as ushering in a new normal. However, at least in terms of business models, the new normal going forwards may be a lot more like the old normal than we think.
That’s not to say there won’t be accelerated innovation and plenty of new business models, products and services appearing, but most businesses will likely be able to operate as usual with a few strategic pivots and changes to their standard processes as well as essential safeguards.
The best practice that an organisation can perform during these times is to be valuable to its customers and be accessible with helpful information services. With a drastic change in the working environment and entering a whole new consumer mindset and behaviour. It is imperative for the brands to be updated to the situation and their communities to keep the customers at ease and on top of mind.
Communication with the clients during these times of unrest is a great way to ensure transparency and support. It ensures them a sense of comfort and a proactive reach from the agency keeping you maintain yourself at the top of their mind. Offer your services for any and all questions. Prepare for what is to come when the situation de-escalates and business resumes to usual.
While we strive towards redefining the ‘new-normal’ and to keep the morality high and productivity higher by arranging a virtual coffee session every morning or a long-form video conferences with an open-ended agenda with our teams, we must collectively overcome the repercussions of global crisis and come out stronger with an inherent ability to adapt to challenging situations.
